A former Franklin, KY. resident Mr. R. Dale Logan, age 99 of Gallatin, TN., entered into rest Friday, September 1, 2017 at 9:10 AM at the Hickory Hills Special Care Unit in Hendersonville, TN.

Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbert Funeral Home where services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, September 4, 2017 with burial to follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, KY. with military honors by the Simpson County Honor Guard.  Masonic rites service will be held at 12:00 PM Monday at Gilbert Funeral Home.

Mr. Logan was born May 6, 1918 in Shelby County, IN. to the late John and Alta Wickliff Logan.  He was the husband of the late Elizabeth Procter Logan.

He is survived 2 daughters Donna Jones (Jerry) of Hendersonville, TN. and Charlotte Anderson (Billy) of Gallatin, TN., 4 grandchildren Daphne Vantrease (Tim), Patrick Jones (Vandy), Heather Anderson (Lou Leseman) and Emily Meredith (Brandon), 4 great grandchildren, Makenzie Jones, Anderson Martin and Will and Clay Meredith.

Mr. Logan was a member of the Franklin First United Methodist Church, a 32nd degree mason with Franklin Simpson Benevolent Lodge #177.  He was an Army veteran of WWII War.  He was owner of L & R Amusement Company.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time on Monday, September 4, 2017 at Gilbert Funeral Home.
