Mr. Charles Herbert Scarborough, age 87, of Auburn, KY, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2024 at 11:02 AM at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky.

Mr. Scarborough’s wishes were to be cremated with no services.

Charles was born December 11, 1936 in Anderson, SC, to the late John Coleman Scarborough and the late Beatrice Lee (Brown) Scarborough.  He was also preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Shelby Dean Scarborough; a daughter, Pam G. Toberman and 5 siblings, Edward Scarborough, Curtis Scarborough, Sandra Buchanan, Ellen Ward and Grady Allen.

He is survived by 2 sons, Kevin Scarborough (Sharon) of Boothbay, ME and Keith Scarborough (Lindsay) of Auburn, KY; a daughter, Paula Hoffner of Myrtle Beach, SC;  9 grandchildren, Taylor, Braden, Carly, Emma, Ellie, Lucas, James , Cara and Nathan; 4 great- grandchildren, Chad, Chase, Cheyenne and Archie; 2 siblings, Don Scarborough of FL and Carlton Scarborough of Greensboro, NC.

Charles was a member of the Hillvue Heights Church in Bowling Green, KY.  He was retired from Armstrong Industries, he served in the Navy, and he enjoyed playing golf and fishing. 

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to local missions through Hillvue Heights Church.
