It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Carl Myers Gregory, Jr., a beloved father, grandfather, and veteran, who passed away peacefully on Friday, August 21st, 2026, at the age of 96 at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green, KY. Carl was a resident of Franklin, KY at the Southern Kentucky Assisted Living Center, and leaves behind a legacy of service and dedication.

Born on April 18th, 1930, in Lafayette, TN, Carl was the son of the late Carl "Carlos" Myers Gregory, Sr. and Ercie D. (Gammon) Gregory. He was preceded in death by his parents and five siblings.

Carl proudly served his country in the United States Army, with distinguished service during the Korean and Vietnam wars. His commitment to his country was matched by his dedication to his family. Carl pursued higher education at Western Kentucky University earning a Master's Degree.

He is survived by his three sons: Steven Gregory of Birmingham, AL, David Gregory of Dayton, OH and Roger Gregory of Atlanta, GA. Carl also leaves behind a grandson, Jonathan Gregory, residing in London, England. Additionally, he is survived by several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at Greenlawn Cemetery, 420 Cemetery Street in Franklin, KY, on Wednesday, September 2nd, 2026, at 10:30 AM CST. The service will include military honors rendered by the Simpson County Honor Guard, a fitting tribute to a man who served his country with distinction.
