Mr. Bruce Yates, age 76 of Franklin, KY, entered into rest Thursday, January 18, 2018 at 11:43 PM at the Franklin-Simpson Nursing and Rehab in Franklin, KY.
Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbert Funeral Home where services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, January 22, 2018 with burial to follow in the Restlawn Memory Gardens.
Mr. Yates was born August 9, 1941 in Franklin, KY., to the late George Douglas Yates and the late Altha Graves Yates. A brother David Yates preceded him in death.
He is survived by wife of 55 years Jo Ann Yates, his children Lita Yates Jones (Frank) of Harare, Zimbabwe, Dale Yates of Franklin, KY. and Laura Yates Bennett of Hendersonville, TN., 3 grandchildren Abby, Will and Caroline Yates and a brother Jimmy Yates of Lexington, KY.
Mr. Yates retired from the US Postal Service after serving 30 years as a mail carrier.
Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until 7:00 PM Sunday, January 21, 2018 and from 6:00 AM until service time on Monday at Gilbert Funeral Home.
