Bettye Jean (Lawson) Allen

Mrs. Bettye Jean Allen, age 84 of Franklin, KY, entered into rest Thursday, March 8, 2018 at 11:35 PM at the Medical Center in Franklin, KY.

Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbert Funeral Home where services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, March 11, 2018 with entombment to follow in the Restlawn Memory Gardens in Simpson Co., KY.

Mrs. Allen was born February 14, 1934 in Jackson Co., TN to the late Charlie Lawson and the late Mary Wheeler Lawson. 2 brothers Bobby and Billy Lawson preceded her in death.

She is survived by her husband, who celebrated 65 years of marriage on March 7, 2018, Arthur Allen, 1 sister Barbara McCormick of Indianapolis, IN., 3 half sisters Kathy Loftis of Cookeville, TN. and Linda Young and Lyda Wright both of Gainesboro, TN and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Allen was a member of the Locust Grove Church of Christ, and was retired from Siemens Manufacturing.

Visitation will be from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM Saturday, March 10, 2018 and from 6:00 AM until funeral service time on Sunday at Gilbert Funeral Home.
