Betty Gene (Thompson) Logan-West

Mrs. Betty Gene Logan West, age 51, of Franklin, KY, passed away on Saturday, July 2, 2022 at 8:16 PM at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory.  Visitation will continue on Thursday, July 7, 2022 from 6:00 AM until funeral service time.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1:00 PM with burial to follow in New Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery in Auburn, KY.

Betty was born on August 1, 1970 in Russellville, KY to her mother and step-father, Dorothy Gene Logan and James Donald Logan of Auburn, KY, whom survives and her father, Edward Ray Thompson of Auburn, KY, whom also survives.  She is also survived by her husband of 17 years, Lester West; 2 children, Amber Reeves of Franklin, KY and Ashley Huff (Rodger) of Franklin, KY; 2 grandchildren, Elijah Huff and Noah Huff; 3 siblings, George Thompson (Shelia) of Russellville, KY, Ben Thompson of Auburn, KY and John Thompson of Auburn, KY.

She was a member of New Harmony Missionary Baptist Church in Auburn, KY. She enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, crafting, cooking, card games, volunteering for local food drives, and helping others.  Betty loved sharing her testimony about her relationship with the Lord. She loved spending time with her family and being a Mimi to her grandson, Eli.
