Mr. Anthony D. McKinney, age 46, of Woodburn, KY, went home to his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at 9:08 AM at TriStar Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green, KY. Anthony was born December 15,1974 in Franklin, KY. He married the love of his life, whom he shared 27 years with. Together they had 4 beautiful children.
Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday, September 10, 2021, and from 6:00 AM until 11:00 AM Saturday, September 11, 2021, at Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will continue Saturday from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Calvary Baptist Church. Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, September 11, 2021, at Calvary Baptist Church located at 804 Church St, Franklin, KY 42134. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, KY.
Survivors include, wife Rebecca (Beaty) McKinney; 4 children, Hannah Bennett (Jacob) of Franklin, KY, Haley Mooneyhan (Jacob) of Franklin, KY, Bryce McKinney of Woodburn, KY and Harmony McKinney of Woodburn, KY; granddaughter, Gabriella Mooneyhan; mother, Barbara (McKinney) Montgomery (Darrell) of Franklin, KY; father, Danny Payne of Franklin, KY; siblings, Sierra McKinney of Franklin, KY, and Dinky Jones of Franklin, KY; maternal grandmother, Mary Lee McKinney of Franklin, KY, and father and mother-in-law, Brooks and Rosemary Beaty of Woodburn, KY.
Anthony was graduate of the Franklin-Simpson High School class of 1994. He was former employee of Quad Graphics (Brown Printing/Quebecor) for 23 years. He was most recently employed at Logan Aluminum for the last 2 years. Anthony was a devout husband and father. He poured himself into his family and instilled his selflessness, kindness, disciplined work ethic, and fun-loving spirit into all his children. He was an avid sports enthusiast that played and coached his children in numerous sports. When he wasn’t working or coaching, you could find Anthony behind his smoker, grilling for family, friends, and coworkers. He touched the lives of everyone around him, he was a gentle giant who only brought light into everyone’s life, he will be sorely missed.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the McKinney Children’s Fund. Those donations will be taken by Gilbert Funeral home and Crematory at 325 W. Cedar Street Franklin, KY. 42134, envelopes will be provided by the funeral home.
