Mrs. Ann Davis (Keller) Kem woke up in heaven in the arms of Jesus, on Saturday, August 8, 2020 at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green, KY.
The Sikeston, MO, native was born May 17, 1934, to the late Ira E. and Irmabelle Keller.
Ann was a Christian and member of the First Baptist Church of Franklin, KY, and was employed by the Simpson County Bank. Prior to banking, Ann’s life was spent as a homemaker and mother to five children. Before her eyesight dimmed, she was an excellent seamstress and cook.
Ann loved her daily walks with her husband, Joe. For many years you would see them walking hand-in-hand either at their old Crestmoor neighborhood in Bowling Green or their home in Westview Heights in Franklin, KY. They were also a part of the “mall walkers” and enjoyed visiting weekly with their group of friends there. Ann loved the many Bible study and choir groups she was a part of as well as teaching Sunday School Classes over the years with her husband.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her best friend and loving husband of 60 years, Joseph H Kem. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Gene Keller.
Ann was proud of her children and was always their biggest cheerleader. Her memories will be cherished and shared by her children, Carol Jane Kem of Atlanta, GA, Dr. Judy Kem of Winston Salem, NC, Dr. Jack D. Kem (Kathy) of Leavenworth, KS, Janet Ausbrooks (Henry) of Bowling Green, KY and Joe Ann Gary (Greg) of Bowling Green, KY; eleven grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; a brother, Dr. Don Keller (Martha) of Easley, SC, and many special nieces and nephews.
A public walk-thru visitation will be held Tuesday, August 11, 2020, at the Gilbert Funeral Home in Franklin, KY from 8:30 am until 11:00 am. A private family graveside service will follow at 11:30 a.m.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, and recognizing the difficulty for some people, it is requested masks be worn at the funeral home and social distancing be followed as much as possible while attending.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that expressions of sympathy be made to Hospice of Southern KY, 5872 Scottsville Rd. Bowling Green, KY 42104 or to the First Baptist Church, 303 East Cedar Street, Franklin, KY 42134 in Ann’s memory.
