Alvis Coker Williams, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 29, 2026, in Franklin, KY, at the age of 61. Born on December 1, 1964, Al was a lifelong resident of Franklin, where he built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
A proud graduate of the 1983 class of Franklin-Simpson High School, Al was known for his warm heart, infectious smile, and unwavering love for his family and friends. He married the love of his life, Beth Mayes Williams, with whom he shared 15 wonderful years. He is also survived by his two children, Paul Kelley (Beth) and Hollie Lynn, and his five adored grandchildren, Easton Kelley, Carson Kelley, Aidan Kinnaird, Ellasyn Kelley, and Emberton Kelley all of Franklin, KY.
Al is also survived by his brother, Patrick Williams (Nancy) of Greenbrier, TN, nieces Hannah Thompson (Josh) and Sarah Williams, nephew David Williams (Sean), and his cherished buddy, Alfie. He is reunited with his father, Alton Williams, mother Ella Jane (Coker) Williams, son Joshua Kelley, and sister, Myra Williams.
He belonged to Franklin Country Club and also worked as a Groundskeeper there. He belonged to the Men's Golf Association. His life was characterized by a love for the simple joys: golfing, playing cards, spending sunny days at the beach, tending to the flowers in his yard, and watching soap operas, particularly "General Hospital." Al found immense joy in the company of his grandchildren, who knew him as a loving grandfather who could always be counted on for a playful "stanky leg" dance. He was also an avid UK fan!
Al will be deeply missed by many, including his pallbearers: David “Moe” Kelly, David Clark, Jerry Searcy, Scott Pedigo, Todd Caudill, Hunter Bowen, and Mike Metcalf. Honorary pallbearers include Paul Kelley, Easton Kelley, Carson Kelley, Aidan Kinnaird, Chuck Porter, and, posthumously, Ricky Mooneyhan.
