Alvin Day Cardwell

A former resident of Franklin, KY., Mr. Alvin D. Cardwell age 80, of Stockton, CA., died Monday, May 18, 2009 at the Wagner Heights Nursing Home in Stockton, CA.
A native of Simpson Co., KY., he was the son of the late Emerson Perrin Cardwell and the late Sarah Elizabeth Mayes Cardwell.. He was preceded in death by six brothers: Herschel, Herbert, "Snooks", Gene, Davis and Albert Cardwell and three sisers: Ruth Russell, Eva Link and Elizabeth Sue Cardwell.
He is survived by a sister Ann Chapman of New Plaestine, IN., a sister-in-law Martha Cardwell Offutt of Madisonville, KY. and 31 nieces and nephews.
Mr. Cardwell was a farmer and a ranch hand, member of Bethel Grove Methodist Church, an Army veteran of the Korean war and a member of the American Legion.
